Cart Mart, Inc. Expands Southern California Presence with Acquisition of Rainbow Custom Cars

San Marcos, CA – December 5, 2024 – Cart Mart, Inc. (CMI), a leading provider of golf cars, utility vehicles, and Low-Speed Vehicles (LSVs) in the US, proudly announces its acquisition of Rainbow Custom Cars (RCC), an established golf car and utility vehicle dealership doing business in Southern California since 1998. This acquisition marks a pivotal step in Cart Mart’s growth, representing its sixth acquisition overall and its fifth acquisition in California since 2008.

Rainbow Custom Cars has been a cornerstone in the golf car industry for over 25 years with a great reputation in the market. A longstanding E-Z-GO dealer, the company has built its reputation for excellence in the building of custom golf cars, commercial vehicle sales, production, and service, supported by an experienced, dedicated, and skilled service team.

The sale of Rainbow Custom Cars was prompted by the owners’ decision to retire after decades of successful business operations. This presented Cart Mart with an ideal opportunity to strengthen its operational presence in the regions serving the Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino County markets. Longstanding relationships between RCC owners Barbara, Steve, and Mike Armstrong, and Cart Mart’s leadership team were instrumental in facilitating this seamless transition which was entirely financed by Cart Mart.

The acquisition doubles Cart Mart’s operational footprint in the region by adding a much larger production facility located at 376 American Circle, in Corona, CA. This new location will serve as one of Cart Mart’s sales, service, and production hubs in California, significantly enhancing the company’s output and production capacity. The expanded site includes offices and a 12,500 s/f warehouse to further support service and wholesale parts distribution to CMI-owned locations and its customers across the region. The integration will bring RCC’s experienced team into Cart Mart’s workforce, further enhancing its technical capabilities. Existing Cart Mart employees will also benefit from new professional growth opportunities, a key focus of the company’s management strategy.
